Christmas is a season of giving and receiving, but should we consider how much we accumulate and how these objects can start to loom too large in our imagination.

Kate Nixon is an established artist who works primarily in glass but for her site specific installation in the Hindmarsh Project Space on Civic Square, she will use acrylic – a material with similar transparency and luminosity. Her installation transforms the keepsake talismans of emotion and memory that might normally quietly reside on our shelves or in the bottom drawer into something we can’t forget.
