Lyn Inall

Made accountable

1996, suit fabric(cotton/polyester) with rayon lining and wool/polyester batting, buttons, label

Black, grey and white machine pieced and stitched quilt made from recycled men's suits; cotton covered polyester and cotton threads, chalk and lint.

Lighter grey fabric forms two irregular shaped design elements in overall design. Buttons and button holes evident throughout with machine sewn button holes used to secure top fabric to backing and as design feature. Rayon suit lining forms reverse side and border. Nu Wool batting used. Abstracted symbols of minus "-" and plus "+” together with recycled business suit pieces represent "her (Inall's) feeling and hope that 'they' might be made accountable for their decisions and actions".
