Cnr London Circuit and City Square, Canberra City
Open today from 12pm to 4pm
Crisp winter days with snowfall on the ground can only mean one thing - get the skis out!
Winter sees many of us hitting the slopes or enjoying walks and hikes on the snowfields in the ACT, and neighbouring New South Wales and Victoria. This display celebrates skiing through some of Canberra Museum and Gallery’s collection of ski-related ephemera. Enjoy the opportunity to view a 1950s pair of wooden skis, used by Dorothy Brown when competing in cross-country and downhill events, and training skis developed in the 1960s by Canberran Colin Watson.
