We’re celebrating 50 years of Canberra’s beloved community radio station 2XX—and you’re invited!

Join CMAG Senior Curator Dr Hannah Paddon and Declan O’Connell from 2XX to hear behind-the-scenes stories and discover the voices, movements and big ideas that have shaped Canberra’s airwaves over the past five decades - then explore the exhibition.

This exhibition tells fascinating stories of community radio in Canberra. From its roots as Radio ANU in the early 1970s to its official launch as Canberra’s beloved 2XX in 1976, 2XX has touched the lives of many and reflected the shifts in music, culture and the political landscapes of Canberra and beyond. Join Dr Hannah Paddon, exhibition curator, and Declan O’Connell from 2XX to celebrate the opening of the exhibition and learn about the voices, movements and ideas have that shaped Canberra's radio waves over the last 50 years.
