Join local citizen scientist Stuart Harris for a special screening and discussion of Maratus, Simon Cunich’s documentary exploring Stuart’s life‑changing discovery of the elusive Maratus harrisi spider in Namadgi National Park.
Following the film, Stuart will share first‑hand insights into the discovery, answer audience questions, and extend the conversation into Maria Fernanda Cardoso’s Spiders of Paradise — a stunning exhibition celebrating the colour, texture and extraordinary visual language of the iridescent Maratus spider.
This event offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from the discoverer of one of Australia’s most captivating spider species and to deepen your understanding of the science, art and wonder behind Spiders of Paradise.
