Festival of Everyday Art

Festival of Everyday Art

11am - 3pm

15-16 July

Treasure Hunt Tent – Cnr University Ave & Childers St

Look closely and you’ll see everyday art all around you – some lichen that looks like a teapot, or surprisingly beautiful copper pipes. Now add the power of a little white gallery label … you just transformed your everyday object into public art. Between May and July 2023, PeopleLab will be running workshops, exhibition, Treasure Trails and a Public Art Hunt.

YOUR MISSION
🎪 – Visit the Treasure Trail Tent near The Street Theatre. Anytime between 11 and 3.
🗺 – Claire and Pablo will give you a treasure map and a gallery label.
🔎 – Use the map to find the object that matches your label. Stick the label. Snap a photo. Admire your piece of art.
🍁 – Return to headquarters to claim your prize (a really nice leaf)!
PLUS the two best photos will win a voucher from Landspeed Records or Good Games Canberra City.*

FREE to enter. All ages and abilities welcome. Hunt solo or as a group.

It activates the environment in a way that made me think of a space familiar to me, differently. Love it!” - A happy participant
