Cnr London Circuit and City Square, Canberra City
Open today from 10am to 4pm
Be inspired by the flora, fauna and sweeping views across the Mugga Mugga landscape then participate in an art workshop with artist Mariana del Castillo.
Participants will use eco-dyed fabrics made by the artist to create theatrical bird figures. Employing natural inks, stitching, and plant fibres they will be inspired by the colours of summer in the Australian bush.
This workshop is designed for people aged 12+ and prior experience is useful but not essential.
Mariana del Castillo lives and works in Ngambri/Ngunnawal land. Mariana is an Ecuadorian-born, Australian multidisciplinary artist. When making her constructions and sculptures, Mariana primarily uses reclaimed materials that come saturated with meaning.
