How did a ‘new woman’ navigate a career in design at the beginning of the 20th Century? What does it mean to be a woman in design today, and what is the future of this ever-evolving creative industry?
Join historian Pam Lane as she explores Eirene Mort’s life and career as an artist and designer at the beginning of the 20th Century. Then step into the present with Lynne Goodyer, design creative and Deputy Chair of the ACT branch of the Australian Graphic Design Association. Lynne will provide an insight into women working in design in the contemporary context, and use a practical example to explore the active future of design. In association with DESIGN Canberra.
