The art of bookplate design is personal – a way of marking possession of books but also reflecting the personality of the owner.

Hear from Bronwyn Vost, Secretary of The New Australian Bookplate Society, about the bookplate and other materials she has loaned to the exhibition. Artist and printer, Caren Florance, will provide a contemporary maker’s perspective on the art and process of creating bookplates and will discuss the form, which is as old as the printing press itself.
