Discover the intriguing connections, both past and present, between Eirene Mort, Gungahlin Homestead and Soldier On.

Tour this grand, nineteenth century building, outbuildings and the remnant gardens with architectural historian Eric Martin and descendant of the first European land holders, Robert Palmer.

Learn more about Soldier On, Gungahlin Homestead’s current tenants, who offer a range of services for returned soldiers with Debbie Dimmock, Activities Officer. Soldier On’s work is a contemporary evolution of the occupational therapy classes Eirene Mort, and others from the Arts and Craft Society of NSW, pioneered with returned soldiers of World War One. Continue the conversation over morning tea in the courtyard of the Homestead.
